This Is More Than a Job — It ’s My Life

by Evonne – April 2025

Let me be honest with you from the start — I don’t just do this “dog thing” on the side. I don’t clock in at a second job, I don’t have a backup plan, and I don’t split my time. Dogs are it for me. They are my love, my purpose, my full-time hustle, and the entire way I keep a roof over my head.

Along with DesneDogs, I work with Puppies & Yoga Dc — where I helped create the safe, fun vibes that made every pup feel like they belonged. But like so many in this space, I’ve had moments where things were ripped away too quickly.  — no warning, no communication.  Just… out. It shook me. Because this work isn’t just what I do. It’s who I am.

So I built DesneDogs. With no handouts, no rich investor, just heart, hustle, and a serious love for dogs and the people who raise them. And I’m proud to say this: my clients are the best part of what I do.

What Makes Me Different?

  • I see your dog like I see my own. Their safety and comfort come first.
  • I don’t pack ten dogs into a room and call it “care.” I personalize everything — walks, play, cuddles, feedings.
  • I ask questions about allergies, routines, Instagram preferences, even whether your fluffpuff likes jazz or silence.
  • There are no hidden charges. I’m clear, consistent, and respectful of your time and trust.

I don’t just take care of your dogs. I take care of you. I know how hard it is to trust someone with your baby. I know the guilt that creeps in when you have to travel or work long hours. I know how you worry. So let me ease that for you.

Why It Matters to Book with Me

When you book with DesneDogs, you’re not just getting a service — you're supporting a woman who wakes up every day to give dogs love, routine, and joy. This is how I grow. And this is how I continue to serve the families who trust me.

Your support means I can buy food for my own dog. It means I can build a life doing what I love. It means I can stay in this industry and elevate it for people who look like me, love like me, and care like I do.

Thank You for Trusting Me

If you’ve ever booked with me, shared a post, referred a friend, or even liked a photo — thank you. You are part of the DesneDogs family. And if this is your first time here? I’d love to welcome you in.

This is real. This is DesneDogs. And I’m just getting started.

If You Don’t Mind Drool, Love Nature, and Adventure - It’s The Best Job In The World

by Evonne – April 2025

If you’ve ever seen a dog walker cruising around with a bunch of happy pups, you might think, “Wow, that looks fun.”
And you’d be right — but it’s even better than it looks.

Dog walking isn’t just about getting from point A to point B. It’s a whole vibe. It's about watching tiny moments happen — the little head tilts when a bird flies by, the excited huffs when a new trail opens up, the way they memorize the route better than you do.
Every walk feels like its own tiny adventure.

Here’s what really makes dog walking special:

1. Dogs Know How to Enjoy the Little Things

Humans can get so caught up in big goals, big problems, big plans. Dogs?
They’re over here having the time of their lives because the wind smells weird today.
They teach you to slow down and notice the stuff you’d normally miss.

2. You Learn Every Pup’s Personality

No two dogs are the same.
Some strut like they own the block. Some are shy and need time to warm up. Some are part-time detectives, sniffing every single blade of grass like it’s a crime scene.
You start learning their quirks — who hates puddles, who loves squirrels, who pretends to be brave but wants you nearby just in case. It's like building friendships, one leash at a time.

3. Movement Feels Different with a Dog

Going for a walk alone can feel like a chore.
But with a dog? It's a mission. A partnership. A chance to stretch, move, and breathe — side by side with a little buddy who thinks this is the best thing ever.

4. There’s Always a Little Surprise

Maybe it’s a new flower blooming along the route. Maybe it’s your dog finally being brave enough to cross the “scary” bridge.
Maybe it's the way they flop over in the grass and demand belly rubs halfway through.
Walking dogs reminds you: expect the unexpected, and find joy in it.

5. Dogs Don’t Care What Kind of Day You’re Having

You can show up stressed, tired, mad about something dumb you saw on your phone.
Your dog walker self might be dragging a little.
But to the dog? You’re still their favorite person.
By the end of the walk, whatever had you in a funk? Forgotten. Dogs just have that magic.

Whether it's a slow saunter or a full-on zoomie session, every walk is a reminder that life isn’t about rushing.
It’s about being there. Nose in the wind, paws on the pavement, heart wide open.

And honestly? I think dogs have it figured out way better than we do.
